പാപങ്ങൾ ക്ഷമിക്കുന്നവൻ
മത്തായി 9:1-8
മത്താ. 9:1 പിന്നെ പടകിൽ കയറി അവൻ അക്കരെ കടന്നു തന്റെ സ്വന്തം പട്ടണത്തിലേക്കു വന്നു.
2 ഇതാ, കിടക്കമേൽ കിടക്കുന്ന ഒരു പക്ഷവാതക്കാരനെ അവർ അവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ കൊണ്ടുവന്നു. യേശുവോ, അവരുടെ വിശ്വാസം കണ്ടിട്ട് പക്ഷവാതക്കാരനോട്, മകനേ, ധൈര്യമായിരിക്കുവിൻ; നിന്റെ പാപങ്ങൾ ക്ഷമിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
3 ഇതാ, ശാസ്ത്രിമാരിൽ ചിലർ, ഈ മനുഷ്യൻ ദൈവദൂഷണം പറയുന്നു എന്നു തങ്ങളിൽത്തന്നെ പറഞ്ഞു.

6 എന്നാൽ മനുഷ്യപുത്രനു ഭൂമിയിൽ പാപങ്ങൾ ക്ഷമിക്കുവാൻ അധികാരമുണ്ട് എന്നു നിങ്ങൾ അറിയേണ്ടതിന്—അപ്പോൾ അവൻ പക്ഷവാതക്കാരനോട്, എഴുന്നേറ്റ് നിന്റെ കിടക്ക എടുത്തു നിന്റെ വീട്ടിലേക്കു പോകുക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
7 അവനോ എഴുന്നേറ്റു തന്റെ വീട്ടിലേക്കു പോയി.
8 പുരുഷാരം ഇതു കണ്ടിട്ട്, മനുഷ്യർക്ക് ഇങ്ങനെയുള്ള അധികാരം നൽകിയ ദൈവത്തെ ഭയപ്പെടുകയും മഹത്വപ്പെടുത്തുകയും ചെയ്തു.

വീണുപോയ മനുഷ്യർ എന്ന നിലയിൽ, നമ്മുടെ അടിസ്ഥാന പ്രശ്നം നമ്മുടെ പാപവും, നമ്മുടെ പാപങ്ങളുമാണ്. മനുഷ്യവർഗ്ഗത്തിന്റെ എല്ലാ പ്രശ്നങ്ങളും പാപത്തിൻ്റെ ഫലമാണ്. പാപം നിമിത്തം, വീണുപോയ മനുഷ്യവർഗത്തിൻ്റെ അവസ്ഥ നിരാശാജനകമാണ്. പാപം നിമിത്തം എല്ലാവരും ദുഷിപ്പിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു. മനുഷ്യവർഗ്ഗത്തിന്റെ എല്ലാ പ്രശ്നങ്ങളും പാപത്തിൻ്റെ ഫലമായതിനാൽ, ജനം ദൈവത്തിലേക്ക് പുനഃസ്ഥാപിക്കണമെങ്കിൽ പാപത്തോട് ഇടപെടേണ്ടതുണ്ട്. പാപങ്ങൾ ക്ഷമിക്കുന്നവൻ എന്ന നിലയിൽ നമുക്ക് ക്രിസ്തുവിനെ ആവശ്യമാണ്. കർത്താവായ യേശുവിൽ വിശ്വസിച്ച് അവനെ സ്വീകരിച്ച ദിവസംതന്നെ നമ്മുടെ പാപങ്ങൾ ക്ഷമിക്കപ്പെട്ടു.
a. മനുഷ്യപുത്രൻ എന്ന നിലയിൽ
മത്തായി 9:6a സൂചിപ്പിക്കുന്നു, കർത്താവായ യേശു നമ്മുടെ പാപങ്ങൾ ക്ഷമിക്കുന്നവൻ ആയിരിക്കുന്നത് മനുഷ്യപുത്രൻ എന്ന നിലയിലാണ് എന്ന്. പക്ഷവാതക്കാരന്റെ പാപങ്ങൾ ക്ഷമിച്ചവൻ യഥാർത്ഥത്തിൽ ഒരു താഴ്ന്ന മനുഷ്യൻ്റെ രൂപത്തിൽ വന്ന ക്ഷമിക്കുന്നവനായ ദൈവമായിരുന്നു. അവൻ ക്ഷമിക്കുന്ന ദൈവത്തിൻ്റെ ജഡാവതാരമായിരുന്നു. കർത്താവായ യേശു പക്ഷവാതക്കാരന്റെ പാപങ്ങൾ ക്ഷമിച്ചപ്പോൾ, അവൻ്റെ ദൈവത്വം അവൻ്റെ മനുഷ്യത്വത്തിൽ വെളിവായി.
b. പാപങ്ങൾ ക്ഷമിക്കുവാനുള്ള അധികാരമുള്ളവൻ

The Forgiver of sins
Matthew 9:1-8
Mt 9:1 And stepping into a boat, He crossed over and came to His own city.
2 And behold, they brought to Him a paralytic, lying on a bed. And Jesus, seeing their faith, said to the paralytic, Take courage, child; your sins are forgiven.
3 And behold, some of the scribes said within themselves, This man blasphemes.
4 And Jesus, knowing their thoughts, said, Why are you thinking evil things in your hearts?
5 For which is easier, to say, Your sins are forgiven, or to say, Rise and walk?
6 But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins — then He said to the paralytic, Rise, take up your bed and go to your house.
7 And he rose and went away to his house.
8 And when the crowds saw this, they feared and glorified God, who had given such authority to men.
Excerpts from the CNT:
In Matthew 9:1-8 we see that Christ is the Forgiver of sins. “Behold, they brought to Him a paralytic, lying on a bed. And Jesus, seeing their faith, said to the paralytic, Take courage, child; your sins are forgiven” (v. 2). This word was probably a shock to the paralytic and to those who had brought him to the Lord. They no doubt had never thought that the cause of his illness was sin. But much to their surprise, the Lord Jesus told the paralytic that his sins were forgiven.
As fallen human beings, our basic problem is our sin, even our sins. All the problems of mankind are the result of sin. Because of sin, the situation of fallen mankind is hopeless. Because of sin, everyone has been corrupted. Because all the problems of mankind are the result of sin, sin must be dealt with if people are to be restored to God. We need Christ as the Forgiver of sins. On the day we believed in the Lord Jesus and received Him, our sins were forgiven.
a. As the Son of Man
Matthew 9:6a indicates that it is as the Son of Man that the Lord Jesus is the Forgiver of our sins. The One who forgave the sins of the paralytic was actually the forgiving God [2782] in the form of a lowly man. He was the incarnation of the forgiving God. When the Lord Jesus forgave the sins of the paralytic, His deity was manifested in His humanity.
b. Having the Authority to Forgive Sins
Verse 6 reveals that “the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins.” To forgive sins is a matter of authority on earth. Only the Lord Jesus, who had been authorized by God and who would die to redeem sinners, has such authority (Acts 5:31; 10:43; 13:38). Because the Lord Jesus is the God-man, He has not only the ability to save sinners but also the authority to forgive their sins.
