ഇമ്മാനൂവേൽ - ദൈവം നമ്മോടുകൂടെ

മത്താ. 23 “ഇതാ, കന്യക ഗർഭിണിയായി ഒരു പുത്രനെ പ്രസവിക്കും, അവർ അവന്റെ പേർ ഇമ്മാനൂവേൽ എന്നു വിളിക്കും” (അതിനെ ദൈവം നമ്മോടുകൂടെ എന്ന് മൊഴിമാറ്റം ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു).

a. അവന്റെ മനുഷ്യത്വത്തിൽ
യേശു എന്നത്, ദൈവം നൽകിയ പേരാണ്, എന്നാൽ ദൈവം നമ്മോടുകൂടെ എന്ന് അർഥമുള്ള ഇമ്മാനൂവേൽ എന്നത്, അവനെ മനുഷ്യൻ വിളിച്ചിരുന്ന നാമമായിരുന്നു. രക്ഷകനായ യേശു നമ്മോടുകൂടെയുള്ള ദൈവമാണ്. അവൻ ദൈവമാണ്, അവൻ നമ്മുടെ ഇടയിൽ പാർക്കുവാൻ ജഡാവതാരം ചെയ്ത ദൈവവുമാണ് (യോഹ. 1:14). അവൻ ദൈവം മാത്രമല്ല, നമ്മോടുകൂടെ ആയിരിക്കുന്ന ദൈവമാണ്.
സാക്ഷാൽ ഇമ്മാനൂവേൽ തന്നെയായ ക്രിസ്തു, ഭൂമിയിൽ ആയിരുന്നപ്പോൾ മാത്രമല്ല നമ്മോടുകൂടെ ആയിരുന്നത്, പിന്നെയോ അവന്റെ ആരോഹണത്തിനു ശേഷം, നാം അവന്റെ നാമത്തിലേക്ക് കൂട്ടിച്ചേർക്കപ്പെടുമ്പോഴെല്ലാം, അവൻ നമ്മോടുകൂടെ ഉണ്ട് (18:20). കൂടാതെ, അവൻ യുഗത്തിന്റെ പരിണതിയോളം, എല്ലാ നാളും നമ്മോടുകൂടെ ഉണ്ടായിരിക്കും (28:20).
b. ദൈവത്തിന് നമ്മുടെ ആവശ്യങ്ങൾ എല്ലാ നിലയിലും കണ്ടുമുട്ടുവാനായി
തന്നെത്തന്നെ നമ്മിലേക്ക് പകരുന്നതിനായി ക്രിസ്തു ജഡാവതാരത്തിന്റെയും പുനരുത്ഥാനത്തിൻ്റെയും പ്രക്രിയകളിലൂടെ കടന്നുപോയി. ജഡാവതാരത്തിലൂടെ ക്രിസ്തുവിന് തൻ്റെ വിശ്വാസികൾക്ക് പുറത്ത് ഇമ്മാനൂവേൽ ആകുവാൻ കഴിഞ്ഞു, എന്നാൽ ഇത് നമ്മോടൊപ്പമുള്ള അവൻ്റെ ഉദ്ദേശ്യത്തിൻ്റെ ഒരു ഭാഗം മാത്രമേ നിറവേറ്റുന്നുള്ളൂ. അവൻ നമ്മോടൊപ്പം ബാഹ്യമായി ആയിരിക്കുന്നത് നമ്മുടെ ആളത്തത്തിലേക്ക് അവനെത്തന്നെ പകരുവാനുള്ള അവൻ്റെ ഉദ്ദേശ്യം നിറവേറ്റുന്നില്ല, അതിനാൽ അവന് മറ്റൊരു പ്രക്രിയയിലൂടെ കടന്നുപോകേണ്ടിവന്നു. രണ്ടാമത്തെ പ്രക്രിയ അവൻ്റെ മരണവും പുനരുത്ഥാനവുമായിരുന്നു. പുനരുത്ഥാനത്തിൽ അവൻ്റെ ശാരീരിക രൂപം ഒരു ആത്മിക രൂപമായി മാറി. മരണത്തിലൂടെയും പുനരുത്ഥാനത്തിലൂടെയും അവൻ ഒടുക്കത്തെ ആദാം എന്ന നിലയിൽ ജീവൻനൽകുന്ന ആത്മാവ് ആയിത്തീർന്നു (1 കൊരി. 15:45b). ജീവൻ നൽകുന്ന ആത്മാവെന്ന നിലയിൽ, അവൻ ഇമ്മാനൂവേൽ ആണ്, ദിവ്യ ത്രിത്വത്തിൻ്റെ സാന്നിധ്യമാണ്. ഈ സാന്നിധ്യം നമ്മുടെ ആത്മാവിൽ എപ്പോഴും നമ്മോടൊപ്പമുണ്ട് (2 തിമോ. 4:22), ദിവസം തോറും മാത്രമല്ല, നിമിഷം തോറും. ക്രിസ്തുവിനോടൊപ്പം ജീവിക്കുവാൻ, നാം അവൻ്റെ ദിവ്യ സാന്നിധ്യത്തിൽ ആയിരിക്കണം (ഗലാ. 5:25a). ത്രിയേക ദൈവത്തിൻ്റെ പരിണതി എന്ന നിലയിൽ ജീവൻ നൽകുന്ന ആത്മാവാണ് ദിവ്യ സാന്നിധ്യം. ഈ സാന്നിദ്ധ്യമാണ് ഇമ്മാനൂവേൽ. അവനാണ് യഥാർത്ഥവും പ്രായോഗികവുമായ യേശു, ത്രിഭാഗിയ മനുഷ്യനോടുകൂടെയുള്ള ത്രിയേക ദൈവം.
നാം ഇമ്മാനുവേലായ ക്രിസ്തുവിനോടൊപ്പം ജീവിക്കുകയും ജീവൻ നൽകുന്ന ആത്മാവായ ക്രിസ്തുവിനാൽ നടക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു. ജീവൻ നൽകുന്ന ആത്മാവായ ക്രിസ്തുവിനാൽ നടക്കണമെങ്കിൽ, നാം വ്യക്തിയെന്ന നിലയിലുള്ള ക്രിസ്തുവോടൊപ്പം ജീവിക്കണം, അവനാണ് ഇമ്മാനുവേൽ.
Emmanuel — God with us

Mt 1:23 “Behold, the virgin shall be with child and shall bear a son, and they shall call His name Emmanuel” (which is translated, God with us).

a. In His Humanity
Jesus was the name given by God, whereas Emmanuel, meaning God with us, was the name by which man called Him. Jesus the Savior is God with us. He is God, and He is also God incarnated to dwell among us (John 1:14). He is not only God but God with us.
Christ as the very Emmanuel not only was with us when He was on earth, but also is with us, since His ascension, whenever we are gathered into His name (Matt. 18:20). Moreover, He will be with us all the days until the consummation of the age (Matt. 28:20).
b. For God to Meet Our Need in Every Way
Christ passed through the processes of incarnation and resurrection in order to dispense Himself into us. Through incarnation Christ could be Emmanuel outside of His believers, but this would fulfill only part of His intention in being with us. His being with us outwardly does not fulfill His purpose to dispense Himself into our being, so He had to go through another process. The second process was His death and resurrection. In resurrection His physical form became a spiritual form. Through death and resurrection, He as the last Adam became the life-giving Spirit (1 Cor. 15:45b). As the life-giving Spirit, He is Emmanuel, the presence of the Divine Trinity. This presence is always with us in our spirit [2764] (2 Tim. 4:22), not only day by day but also moment by moment. To live with Christ, we need to be in His divine presence (Gal. 5:25a). The divine presence is the life-giving Spirit as the consummation of the Triune God. This presence is Emmanuel, who is the real, practical Jesus, the Triune God with the tripartite man.
We live with Christ as Emmanuel and walk by Christ as the life-giving Spirit. In order to walk by Christ as the life-giving Spirit, we must live with Christ as a person, who is Emmanuel.
